Your Assessment & Profile
If you’ve been invited to take a Protu assessment, this page walks you through what it involves, what you’ll see afterwards, and how your results are used.
The Assessment
Section titled “The Assessment”What it is
Section titled “What it is”A 15-20 minute conversational experience. You’ll respond to open-ended prompts about how you approach work. There are no trick questions and no right or wrong answers.
What it measures
Section titled “What it measures”Protu measures behavioural patterns: how you work, not what you know.
| It measures | It doesn’t measure |
|---|---|
| How you approach problems | Your intelligence or IQ |
| How you work with others | Your skills or qualifications |
| Your working style tendencies | Your past performance |
| Your communication patterns | Your values or beliefs |
Your results are used to help your team work better together. They’re not used for performance reviews, promotions, or disciplinary decisions. No one is ranked or compared unfavourably.
Tips for taking it
Section titled “Tips for taking it”- Be honest: there are no “correct” answers
- Respond naturally: don’t try to guess what’s expected
- Take your time, but don’t overthink individual questions
- Find a quiet moment. 15-20 uninterrupted minutes works best
Your Profile
Section titled “Your Profile”After completing the assessment, you’ll see your profile straight away.
Layout
Section titled “Layout”Your profile has two main areas side by side:
- On the left, a bar chart shows your position across all 10 behavioural markers. Each bar represents a different dimension of how you work.
- On the right, a detail panel shows more about whichever marker you select.
Click any bar on the chart to explore that marker in depth. The detail panel updates to show:
- What this marker means: A plain-language explanation of the dimension
- Your submarkers: The specific patterns that make up your score in this area
- How you compare: Where you sit relative to others who’ve completed the assessment
Below the chart, a short summary describes your overall profile in plain language.
Your 10 Markers
Section titled “Your 10 Markers”| Marker | What it captures |

| Open-mindedness | Receptiveness to different perspectives and tolerance of ambiguity |
| Accountability | Ownership, follow-through, and personal standards |
| Perseverance | Persistence, focus, and resilience under pressure |

Impact Levels
Section titled “Impact Levels”Each marker has an impact level that describes where you currently sit:

|---|---|
| Exceptional | Among the strongest in this dimension |
| Standout | Notably strong, often visible to others |
| Established | Solid capability, continuing to develop |
| Developing | Building capability, room to grow |

There’s no “good” or “bad” pattern. Different combinations suit different roles and teams. Someone who’s “Starting” in one area often has standout strengths elsewhere.
Submarkers
Section titled “Submarkers”Click to expand any marker and you’ll see the more granular dimensions underneath. These submarkers give you a more detailed picture of how a particular pattern shows up in your work.
