Inviting Employees

Before you can build teams and unlock Team Intelligence, your people need to complete their assessments. Here’s how to get them started.

There are several ways to add employees to Protu, depending on how many you’re adding.

  1. Go to Employees in the navigation (or press E)
  2. Click Invite employee
  3. Enter the employee’s email address
  4. Click Send invite

The employee receives an email with a magic link to complete their assessment. No password needed.

To invite multiple employees at once:

  1. Go to Employees
  2. Click Invite employee
  3. Paste multiple email addresses (one per line, or comma-separated)
  4. Click Send invites

For larger teams:

  1. Go to SettingsEmployees
  2. Click Import CSV
  3. Upload a CSV with email addresses
  4. Review and confirm

When invited, employees:

  1. Receive an email from Protu with a magic link
  2. Click the link: no account creation needed
  3. Complete the assessment: 15-20 minutes, conversational format
  4. See their profile: immediate access to their own insights

The assessment is not a test. There are no right or wrong answers. It captures natural behavioural patterns.

Monitor where each employee is in the assessment process from the employees list.

StatusWhat it means
InvitedEmail sent, hasn’t started
OnboardingOpened the link, hasn’t begun the assessment
In progressStarted the assessment
CompletedAssessment finished, profile available

If an employee hasn’t completed:

  1. Go to their profile or the employees list
  2. Click Resend invite (or Send reminder)
  3. A new magic link is sent

Tip: A short personal message alongside the invite usually helps people follow through.

Once an employee completes their assessment:

  • Their profile is available: View their behavioural markers and insights
  • They can be added to teams: Select them when building or editing teams
  • Team Intelligence updates: If they’re on a team with 3+ completed members, intelligence recalculates
  • They see their own profile: Employees have full access to their own insights

When someone leaves your organisation, you can deactivate or permanently delete their account.

When someone leaves your organisation:

  1. Go to SettingsEmployees
  2. Find the employee
  3. Click Deactivate

Deactivated employees:

  • Can no longer access their profile
  • Are removed from active team calculations
  • Historical data is preserved for reference

To permanently remove an employee’s data:

  1. Deactivate them first
  2. Click Delete on the deactivated profile
  3. Confirm deletion

You have 30 days to recover the data before it’s permanently deleted.
